You are capable of a lot more than you think.
The trick is to empower your inner potential, even when you might be feeling inadequate, fearful, or lacking in self-confidence. We all go through those negative feelings sometimes, but if you focus on letting your inner light shine, you will find there is a world of potential just waiting to be lit up by you!
Today, we’re going to give you five practical tips derived from the science of positive psychology and ancient wisdom that will help you discover your inner potential, using the acronym S.E.R.V.E.
S - spirituality
Practicing spirituality can take the form of prayer, meditation, a walk in the woods, watching the sunset, feeling the breeze on your face, raising your hands up to the higher power, sitting down in meditation and connecting with your inner self, expressing yourself by writing or painting...whatever your way is to connect with something bigger than yourself.
E - engagement
This is not any kind of engagement - this is what Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi calls "flow." It's a state of consciousness in which you lose all sense of time, and more importantly, you lose your sense of ego. Engagement is openness to life in a way where you lose your sense of self.
R - resilience
Resilience is a factor in our wellbeing that is also well documented in the annals of science. This is a point at which life tells you that you're going to break down, and yet you still get up and you keep moving. You get thrown in the dirt, you get up, you dust things off and you move on.
V - virtuosity
Virtuosity is really two things: right action, and right thought. These are two of the eight paths called the Noble Eightfold Path in Buddhism. What they really mean is living your life in a way that's coherent with your own self - in harmony with you.

E - empathy
Empathy is different than sympathy, different than compassion - it is between sympathy and compassion. Sympathy is care and concern for others. In empathy, you're connected at the feeling and the perspective level. You are so engaged with the person who you're listening to that you can feel what they're feeling, and you know their perspective.
